AFS Advises Knight Automotive Group in Sale of Ford Dealerships

ArentFox Schiff’s Automotive Practice Group represented Knight Automotive Group in selling Sunrise Ford Fontana and Sunrise Ford North Hollywood to GoAuto, a Canadian dealership group that has been expanding its US presence.

ArentFox Schiff also counseled Knight Automotive Group when it originally acquired the stores in 2022, and continues to represent Knight with respect to the operations of its other California dealerships. The Knight Group’s successful management of the stores made them attractive acquisition candidates. ArentFox Schiff’s work included negotiating transaction documents for the sale of the dealerships’ assets, assisting the sellers with due diligence disclosures, and in the transfer of the leaseholds. The transactions closed quickly according to the parties’ desired timeline.
